Share of consumers purchasing online via mobile device in Australia 2016-2021
A survey conducted among just over one thousand of consumers revealed that after dropping in 2020, mobile commerce adoption in Australia has bounced back. Around 81 percent of respondents, compared to just 56 in 2020, are making mobile payments in 2021. Prior to the pandemic, more than seven out of ten respondents used their mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets, for eCommerce, peaking at 74 percent in 2019.
