A report investigating media literacy and news consumption revealed that consumers had many concerns when accessing news online, with 65 percent of respondents in Nigeria worried that they would read a news story that was completely fake. Meanwhile, 61 percent of correspondents from India were concerned about seeing images that had been altered to show something that had not in fact occurred.
