By March 2021, name brands were the most preferred among personal care purchases in India with a share of 83 percent. Only eight percent of the customers preferred private labels or store brands. In all other categories the preference for name brands is also high with more than 70 percent each. The preference for private labels and store brands are at around 10 percent for all other categories.
