In 2022, Valle del Cauca and Bogotá were the departments most affected by the Zika virus in Colombia, with 27 confirmed and suspected cases, each. Cundinamarca ranked third that year with 14 cases, while Meta registered nine cases. The prevalence of the Zika-virus disease in the South American country has been decreasing since 2016.
