In 2020, Sweden reported the highest percentage growth in the sales area of hypermarkets. Compared to the previous year, the country registered an increase of two percent. A slight decrease between minus 0.1 and minus 0.4 percent in sales area was recorded among multiple countries such as the United Kingdom, Czechia, and Russia. A more considerable decrease amounting at minus 3.3 percent has been registered in Poland.
