Direct-to-Home (DTH) and direct cable were the most used technologies in order to access pay TV in Central Europe, with subscriber shares of over 30 percent each in 2019. However, while these traditional ways of pay TV watching declined from 2015 to 2019, the use of digital technologies such as IPTV and OTT increased in the same period.
