Student gross enrolment ratio in the GCC by segment 2019

In 2019, the gross enrollment ratio of primary and secondary school students in the Gulf Cooperation Council was approximately 102 percent. The ratio was above 100 percent as primary and secondary education were mandatory in most GCC countries. Education in the region was free for all nationals and mandatory for the primary segment.
