In 2023, the average carcass production of cattle that were slaughtered in a slaughterhouse in Indonesia was 206.62 kilograms, while the average meat production of each cattle was 155.39 kilograms. The carcass production of livestock is an indicator of how efficient the meat production in the country is. Less carcass production indicates that the country is more effective in producing meat, hence, an improvement towards sustainable farming as the feed costs per kilogram carcass gain is minimized, and its environmental footprint is also reduced.
