Functions prone to telework before and during lockdown according to French HRDs 2020

In France in 2020, containment has converted companies to telework in a massive and sudden way. And, if the companies were not very numerous to be prepared for these new working modalities, either at the material or cultural level, three months later, a changeover seemed to have taken place in mindsets. Containment has been an opportunity to experiment with remote working in functions that were historically excluded. Thus, according to French HR directors, the proportion of call center employees teleworking before and during containment has quadrupled, from 12 to 49 percent. A similar evolution could be observed in production and logistics functions, where the proportion of teleworkers before/during containment has tripled, from 12 to 36 percent.
