As of August 2020, U.S. social platform users spent the most time on Facebook and Facebook Messenger, with an average of 15 and a half hours a month spent on the two Facebook services combined. There was a slight decrease in the average monthly time spent with Facebook, although the app itself still ranked second, with nearly ten hours monthly.
