Leading products consumers purchased via social media in the U.S. 2020
Internet and social media shopping became refuge among consumers in United States during self-quarantine in 2020. Data from an online survey conducted in the United States demonstrated what kind of products shoppers purchased via social media platforms. 44 percent of purchases made through social media platforms were in the video games & accessories category. Toys & hobbies came in second with 29 percent, closely followed by jewelry & watches at 26 percent. Entertainment products such as e-books, food and drinks, and tickets for future events were also strongly purchased at 23, 22 and 20 percent respectively.
