In 2019, there were 32 initial public offerings (IPOs) in financial and other services on the South Korean stock market Korea Exchange (KRX), followed by 19 IPOs in the technology, media, and telecommunications industry. While the number of IPOs declined slightly year-on-year, the total number of IPOs in South Korea has increased since 2013.
