In 2020, 62 of respondents from a global survey state already using encryption methods to protect data in their cloud. In addition, auditing user activity, relying on backups, and training employees are also common methods to protect data in the cloud. In the future, 40 percent of respondents plan on using cloud access security brokers as well. As organizations increasingly migrate their data and applications to the cloud, security themes increase in importance, too.
