Gross merchandise value per bill in small convenience stores in India 2019-2020
In the last week of March 2020, on average, over 800 Indian rupees were spent per bill in active Kirana stores in India. This was a significant increase from the billing activity in the stores during the same period in the previous year. A spike in consumer purchases was seen during the lockdown in March 2020.
