While Scotland has introduced free menstrual protection for all women in the country and the French Minister of Higher Education, Frédérique Vidal, has decided to set up free protection dispensers in universities for the start of the 2021 academic year, the issue of menstrual precariousness remains more than ever a pressing topic. One of the ways to fight against this phenomenon would be to set up the reimbursement of menstrual protections by Social Security. And yet, French women questioned in March 2021 were a majority to approve such a measure. More than three quarters of them, even those belonging to the wealthiest categories, were in favor of this reimbursement.
