Opinion on the time needed until reaching 50 percent female Diet members Japan 2021
According to a survey conducted in 2021 on gender equality in Japan, the majority of respondents believed that it will take between 20 to 29 years until half of Japan's Diet members are women. The average estimated time until reaching a Diet with 50 percent female participation was 33.5 years from now.
