Importance of sex education in schools in Japan 2023
According to a survey conducted in 2023 on gender equality in Japan, over 87 percent of respondents agreed to at least some extent that primary and junior high school students need to receive sufficient sex education. Just about one percent of survey participants fully disagreed that it is important to offer lessons on sex education to school children.
