Share of eBay C2C users selling pre-owned goods in 2020, by country
According to data from B2C and C2C retailer eBay, there was a boom of reselling goods in 2020, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. When asked if they started selling second hand goods that year to make extra cash, among the five countries surveyed, U.S. sellers took the lead with 72 percent of respondents stating to having started selling pre-owned goods. Canadian sellers came in second place with 68 percent of respondents, closely followed by C2C sellers in the UK (at 67 percent).
