Among the Latin American countries analyzed between January 2020 and April 2022, all recorded an increase in Twitch downloads in April 2020. That month, over 962 thousand downloads of the live game streaming app took place in Brazil – about 130 percent more than in March. Meanwhile, in Mexico, the government declared a state of national health emergency on March 30. Five weeks later, a total of 421 thousand Twitch downloads had been carried out in the North American country, nearly double that of the previous month.
The number of Twitch monthly downloads slightly increased again in all countries in January 2022.
