Change in sales among firms in Kenya during the COVID-19 pandemic 2020
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, almost all firms (93 percent) in Kenya registered a decrease in sales levels between June and August 2020 in comparison to the same period in 2019. The fall was stronger among businesses in the accommodation and food sectors. Moreover, only five percent of firms cited no change in sales, while two percent reported a growth.
