Of the 566 respondents who used Facebook to watch online content illegally in France in 2019, 33 percent saw the amount of ads as the biggest inconvenience, closely followed by bugs and other problems when trying to watch something on this platform.
About 28 percent of the respondents were also wary of their online security when accessing illicit channels on Facebook, either fearing a virus infecting their system or simply not trusting the source of the content.
