Nearly 36 percent of students enrolled in a university in 2022 received a scholarship based on social criteria. Proportionally, students in higher technical classes benefit the most from this state aid. Those who benefited the least were business school students.
There are six levels of scholarships based on social criteria in France. The allocation of scholarships and their amount depends on the financial resources of the student and his/her parents.
