As a consequence of the coronavirus (COVID-19), most elementary schools in Norway had to make use other personnel for teaching purposes such as pedagogues, nursery school teachers and the like. The need for more teaching resources was particularly high in primary schools, reaching 55 percent in Spring 2020. By comparison, only 22 percent of lower secondary schools had the same need in spring, but the demand doubled later in autumn 2020.
