In 2020, more than 6.5 million employees in Italy were working from home. This represents a considerable increase compared to 2019, when around half a million people were working remotely. Due to the COVID-19 measures, a great number of workers had to change their daily habits and start to work from home. Indeed, data show that home office was not very popular in Italy before the pandemic.
