The restricted public life in the Netherlands due to the coronavirus measures in 2020 led to an increase in cannabis usage among youth. Nearly half of 16-to-35-year-old canabis users said that they consumed more cannabis during the lockdown periods than before. Cannabis usage in the Netherlands has decreased slightly in the last decade.
