According to a survey conducted in the U.S. in February 2021, the majority of respondents said that Microsoft should move forward with acquire a semiconductor company that year. The highest proportion of respondents supported a Microsoft-AMD M&A. This was followed by 28 percent of respondents who said that Microsoft should acquire Nvidia, and six percent supported a Microsoft M&A with Micron. A share of 30 percent of respondents said that Microsoft should not acquire any of these companies in 2021.
