Natural gas reserves in Brazil have been decreasing in recent years. In 2023, the South American country's reserves were estimated at some 705 billion cubic meters, down from over 900 billion cubic meters reported in 2012. Meanwhile, Brazil's natural gas production has more than doubled since the beginning of the decade, nearing 54 billion cubic meters in 2023.
