Barriers to food access during COVID-19 in Tunisia 2021
In February 2021, a survey conducted through telephone interviews found that the main reasons for not accessing food in Tunisia during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic were the low income and the higher food prices. These were cited by 64 percent and 63 of the people, respectively. The increment in food prices was reflected in the food inflation rate, which was at 4.9 percent in January 2021.
