Reasons for not taking a COVID-19 vaccine in Tunisia 2021
In February 2021, a survey conducted through telephone interviews found that the main reason for not taking a vaccine against the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Tunisia was the lack of enough information and knowledge about it. This was cited by 30 percent of the respondents. Moreover, other common reasons for the vaccine hesitancy were the low perceived risk of contracting the virus, as well as the poor trust in vaccines and health authorities in general. According to the results of the same survey conducted through telephone interviews, only around a third of the surveyed population in Tunisia was willing to accept a vaccine against the coronavirus if it was available.
