In 2022, 47 percent of respondents state that no vendor lock-in is the most important benefit of any one cloud to them. Vendor lock-ins are one of the most prominent worries involved in a multi-cloud strategy. Vendor lock-in refers to a situation in which a customer is dependent on a particular vendor for services and products, and the use of another vendor would cause substantial operational impact and drive up costs. As more businesses are relying on clouds, and are thus using multi-cloud strategies, avoiding possible vendor lock-ins move to the fore of any cloud strategy.
