In 2018, a survey on quality-oriented childhood education found that the main motivations of parents for sending their young children to basic education courses were fostering their children's personal interest and improving their physical and psychological health. Knowledge acquisition and improving the learning performance were only minor aims stated by parents for these types of quality-oriented courses.
