A survey conducted on iftar gatherings during Ramadan in Indonesia in 2024 found that 72 percent of respondents stated menu as food taste was the main priority when choosing a restaurant for iftar. Iftar occurs at sunset, which is exactly the time Muslims break their fast. Usually, iftar is the prime time for people to have dinner together with friends and family members, right before the night prayer starts.
