According to a survey conducted in February 2023, men in Japan who frequented barber shops used hair care services at barber shops on average 5.82 times in the past year. A larger share of men preferred to go to barber shops instead of beauty parlors for hair care services. Services offered by barber shops include perms, hair cuts, and shaving.
