Remittances inflow in Kenya 2020-2022
Kenyans living abroad sent home some 321.5 million U.S. dollars in February 2022. The remittances' value decreased from 338.7 million U.S. dollars in the preceding month. However, compared to February 2021 and 2022, the amount of money sent from Kenyans abroad increased substantially. According to the Central Bank of Kenya, remittances have been considered an important contributor to the country's economy.
