The number of Black female founders of startups in the United States who raised over one million U.S. dollars in venture funding was much higher in 2020 than in 2018. In 2020, 93 women raised over one million U.S. dollars in venture funding, an increase of almost 65 percent since 2018, when only 34 women raised funds amounting to a value over one million U.S. dollars.
