The NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, also known as March Madness, is an annual knockout tournament between the best college basketball teams in the United States. While some fans enjoy just watching the games, others fill out a so-called bracket in order to predict the ultimate winner of the tournament. These brackets are sometimes filled out for fun among friends, or more competitively to win money or prizes offered by various betting companies and organizations. In 2023, it was estimated that 56.3 million U.S. adults would fill out a bracket during March Madness, up from the 2022 estimate of 36.5 million.
