According to a survey conducted in 2020, cashless payment enjoyed increasing popularity among consumers living in Taiwan. Credit cards saw the most exponential growth with 41 percent, followed by card-funded mobile payments and non-card-funded ones, both at 33 percent. The number of cash users in Taiwan also waned, albeit less dramatically than that in Hong Kong and Macao, as the source stated.
