Increase in online shopping during COVID-19 in Taiwan 2020, by category
A survey conducted in 2020 among 800 consumers in Taiwan showed that spending on meal delivery and fresh produce and meats increased in terms of both frequency and amount. Well over half of the respondents spent more and more frequently on these two categories. Other segments, such as health and wellness, daily groceries, and digital content, also profited from increased online sales during COVID-19 restrictions.
