In 2020, a survey asked U.S. manufacturers which B2B (business-to-business) sales platforms were expected to generate the most revenue over the following five years.
Half of the manufacturers across all industries believed the third-party and/or homegrown e-commerce and online marketplaces solutions to be the main driver of revenue in 2020, as well as in the next years. Revenue from email, phone, and fax sales was projected to grow by 31 percent, while revenue from Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) will register a growth of 35 percent.
