In a 2020 survey conducted in Australia, almost two thirds of the respondents claimed they would go to the movies at least once a year after the COVID-19 restrictions. Around 29 percent of the respondents said they would watch movies at the cinema at least every month. Sporting events would also be more frequently attended, with 35 percent stating they would attend at least yearly, and 15 percent at least monthly.
