Size of the workforce of the footwear manufacturing sector in France 2000-2020
Since 2000 the number of companies working in the manufacture of footwear has decreased overall in France. There were almost 200 companies operating in this sector at the beginning of the century, compared with approximatively 90 in 2019. The workforce of this sector decreased also, from 21,178 employees in 2000 to 3,801 in 2020.
