Imports volume of the French footwear sector 2014-2020
Since 2014, the volume of imports performed by the footwear industry has been rather instable. It amounted to about 508 million pairs in 2014, and had decreased to reach 481 millions as of 2016. Apart from 2014, another peak of 503 millions was reached in 2018, but the following years, the volume of imports had decreased, amounting to less than 405 million pairs in 2020.
Regarding the value, imports also increased, reaching about 6 billion euros in 2020. At that time, the trade deficit reached almost 2.55 billion euros.
