Value of Stock Connect southbound trading at HKEX in Hong Kong 2016-2023

In 2023, the total trading value of southbound trading at the Hong Kong Exchange from the Shanghai Stock Exchange amounted to 3.7 trillion Hong Kong dollars. In the same year, the value of southbound trade with the stock exchange in Shenzhen reached 3.5 trillion Hong Kong dollars. Northbound and southbound trading belongs to the Stock Connect investment channel that connects the bourses from the mainland China with the Hong Kong Exchange.
