According to a survey conducted on zero energy houses in Japan in August 2020, with over 43 percent, the majority of custom-built home owners who responded stated that they did not consider the introduction of zero energy houses at all.
Zero energy houses, or zero energy buildings, are buildings that are supposed to have no net energy consumption. The total amount of energy that the building consumes annually should be equal to the amount of renewable energy that is generated on the site.
