In 2020, the Netherlands counted around 34,100 alternative fuel light commercial vehicles (LCVs) in its fleet, a rise of some 8.9 percent, compared to 2019. Liquefied petroleum gas was the most widely used fuel type, accounting for 68.7 percent of the alternative fuel LCV fleet, after seeing a year-on-year increase of over 900 units. It was followed by battery electric vehicles, which accounted for over five percent of this fleet.
