According to a 2021 survey conducted among South Korean gamers, around 47.1 percent of respondents stated that they spent more time on mobile gaming during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the amount of time spent on most of the mediums of gaming increased during the pandemic, arcade gamers spent less time on gaming as they could not visit arcades as often as before.
