Most trusted sources of information on COVID-19 in Africa 2020
According to a survey conducted between August and December 2020, television was the most trusted source of information about the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Africa, cited by 64 percent of the respondents. Moreover, on average, the internet was deemed a reliable source of information by 41 percent of the continent's population. Nevertheless, perceptions and opinions varied according to the country. For instance, the survey showed that people in North Africa were more likely to trust health authorities and government sources.
