As of December 31, 2022, a total of 44,280 adverse events were reported in Spain after vaccination with Comirnaty Original, while 770 cases corresponded to the Bivalent dose. As of that date, the vaccine developed by Pfizer/BioNTech was the most used against COVID-19 within the country, with over 67.2 million doses administered of the original version and more than seven million of the bivalent vaccine. The most common adverse events recorded with the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine were pyrexia (fever), headache, and myalgia.
