HTTPS errors in e-commerce websites compromising security in France 2018

Security is a top priority for e-commerce. A browser reporting an insecure connection can indeed scare off customers. Migration to HTTPS can be a real challenge, however, even for e-commerce leaders. As proof: the majority of the sites analyzed have pages referring to the old version (http) of their site, and present mixed content problems, so search engines cannot know if the pages concerned are secure, according to the source. Most commonly, about nine to ten percent of website had neither canonical URL nor 301 redirections from an HTTP page.
Other errors that might compromise the SEO performance of an e-commerce website were URL structure errors or crawlability errors.
