During a survey fielded in Mexico at the beginning of 2024, 69 percent of respondents who consumed news in the 30 days leading up to the survey gave CNN a score between 6 and 10 on the 10-point trust score. Mexico is served by CNN en Español, which is a Spanish-language international news channel. Over pay TV subscriptions, Mexican consumers also have access to the CNN Domestic and CNN International.

The source also made the following remarks: 1. „As this survey deals with news consumption, we filtered out anyone who said that they had not consumed any news in the past month, in order to ensure that irrelevant responses didn’t adversely affect data quality. This category averaged around three percent.“ 2. „(…) online samples will tend to under-represent the consumption habits of people who are not online (typically older, less affluent, and with limited formal education). In this sense it is better to think of results as representative of online populations who use news at least once a month.“
